DESCRIPTION
Beautiful and very decorative African Dogon ladder, of "Y" shape, with carved steps to the front. Such ladders were used to enter the upper level of "ginna" (lineage leaders' house), Dogon, Mali.
The piece is part of an extensive private collection coming from a Colonial estate in West-Africa, mid-20th century.
